Faith 417
Identity in Christ devotional: who you are in Christ
Old labels can be loud: the names people called you, the grades, the job title, the number of likes. Scripture gives a steadier word. “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, Who You Are in Christ, walks through being chosen and adopted in Christ, loved while still sinners, made new, and freed from living for human approval. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, Named by God (Isaiah 43:1)
- Day 2, Chosen and adopted (Ephesians 1:4–5)
- Day 3, Worth at the cross (Romans 5:8)
- Day 4, New creation (2 Corinthians 5:17)
- Day 5, A chosen people, not leftovers (1 Peter 2:9)
- Day 6, Reject the mirror of people (Galatians 1:10)
- Day 7, Walk as beloved (1 John 3:1)
If old labels come from abuse, a Christian counselor can help you heal alongside Scripture.
