Faith 417
Free from people-pleasing: a Christian devotional on whose approval matters
If disappointing anyone feels unbearable, you may be living for an audience that was never meant to define you. Paul asked, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Galatians 1:10, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, Free From People-Pleasing, covers the snare of the fear of man, acceptance in Christ, a holy no, speaking the truth in love, and serving the Lord while loving people. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, Whose approval? (Galatians 1:10)
- Day 2, Fear of man snare (Proverbs 29:25)
- Day 3, Blessed in the Beloved (Ephesians 1:6)
- Day 4, Practice a holy no (Mark 1:35–38)
- Day 5, Truth in love (Ephesians 4:15)
- Day 6, Serve God, love people (Colossians 3:23–24)
- Day 7, Live free (John 8:31–32)
