Wisdom after control and gaslighting: a Christian devotional for healing
After control or gaslighting, you may doubt your own memory and wonder whether God is like the person who hurt you. He is not. Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” (John 10:11, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, Wisdom After Control and Gaslighting, covers naming what happened, a spirit of power and love and self-control, distance as wisdom, rebuilding trust carefully, and healing out loud. It supports healing; it is not a safety plan. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, What happened was real (Psalm 55:20–22)
- Day 2, God is not like that (John 10:10–11)
- Day 3, Your mind can clear (2 Timothy 1:7)
- Day 4, Boundaries are holy (Proverbs 22:3)
- Day 5, Rebuild trust carefully (Matthew 10:16)
- Day 6, You are allowed to heal out loud (Isaiah 61:1–3)
- Day 7, Walk free and wise (Galatians 5:1)
