Faith 417
Christian devotional for infertility: hope in the waiting
Infertility can be a lonely, quiet grief: every test, every announcement, every Mother’s Day. Scripture makes room for the question “How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever?” (Psalm 13:1, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, Hope in Infertility and Waiting, is tender and honest, with no shallow fixes and no promises the Bible doesn’t make. It walks through lament, guarding against comparison, finding safe community, and holding hope and trust together. Each day is about 5–8 minutes.
The seven days
- Day 1, Bring Him the ache (1 Samuel 1:10–11)
- Day 2, Lament is allowed (Psalm 13:1–2)
- Day 3, Purpose is not postponed (Ephesians 2:10)
- Day 4, Guard comparison (Psalm 73:26)
- Day 5, Hope that doesn’t shame (Romans 15:13)
- Day 6, Community in the wait (Galatians 6:2)
- Day 7, Held in the unanswered (Psalm 27:13–14)
If grief is crushing daily life, talk with a pastor or Christian counselor. Many churches and hospitals also host infertility support groups.
