Faith 417
Christian devotion for anger: when anger burns hot
Anger is not always sin, but it rarely stays harmless when we feed it. James wrote, “let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.” (James 1:19–20, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, When Anger Burns Hot, helps you name what’s under the heat, practice a soft answer, hand revenge to God, and let the peace of Christ make the call. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, Anger isn’t always sin (Ephesians 4:26–27)
- Day 2, Slow to wrath (James 1:19–20)
- Day 3, What’s under the heat (Psalm 4:4)
- Day 4, Soft answer power (Proverbs 15:1)
- Day 5, Release revenge (Romans 12:19)
- Day 6, Righteous passion redirected (John 2:15–17)
- Day 7, Peace that outlasts the trigger (Colossians 3:15)
