Faith 417
From pride to humility: a Christian devotional
Pride isn’t only arrogance. It can be quiet self-reliance that leaves God out. Micah asked, “what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, From Pride to Humility, is a gentle reset: God gives grace to the humble, counting others more significant, the mind of Christ who emptied Himself, confession, and boasting only in the Lord. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, Pride’s quiet forms (Proverbs 16:18)
- Day 2, Humble yourself (1 Peter 5:5–6)
- Day 3, Consider others (Philippians 2:3–4)
- Day 4, The mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5–8)
- Day 5, Confess and receive (James 4:6–10)
- Day 6, Boasting only in the Lord (Jeremiah 9:23–24)
- Day 7, Walk humbly ongoing (Micah 6:8)
