Faith 417
Decision fatigue: a Christian devotional for clarity when choices exhaust you
When every day is a pile of choices, big and small, your mind gets tired. James wrote, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5, ESV). Faith 417’s seven-day journey, Clarity When Decisions Exhaust You, covers asking God for wisdom, handling only today’s decisions, seeking wise counsel, choosing values before options, and committing your way to the Lord. Each day is about 5–8 minutes, with a reading, one truth, a short prayer, and one small step.
The seven days
- Day 1, God cares about your decisions (Proverbs 3:5–6)
- Day 2, Ask for wisdom (James 1:5–6)
- Day 3, Reduce the pile (Matthew 6:34)
- Day 4, Counsel is wise (Proverbs 15:22)
- Day 5, Values before options (Joshua 24:15)
- Day 6, Decide and release (Psalm 37:5)
- Day 7, Let the peace of Christ rule (Colossians 3:15)
